Skymning is a lovely word. So thinks both Pär Lagerkvist and myself. For me, love and attention also have much to do with the translation profession. It is out of love for words and languages that I have chosen my line of business and it is with respect for the original texts that I conduct it.
skymnings translations was founded as a company in March 2002. As a freelance translator, I am flexible: I can work as closely or as independenly with a translation as the individual clients require. I have worked with a range of texts over the years, from the Smurf comic magazines to articles on motoring in Bergen, and virtually everything in between.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from Lund University, and a Master of Letters from the University of Stirling. Both were received with Distinctions.
As a translator, I profile myself as a stylist - the texts you receive back from me are created with an artist's brush rather than a sledge hammer. This, however, does not lead to unreasonable delivery times. Depending on the type of text I translate between 1000-2000 words a day.
